About Image to Text (OCR)
Optical character recognition reads the shapes of letters in an image and turns them back into text you can select, search, and edit. This page runs that recognition entirely inside your browser tab, so a screenshot, a scanned page, or a photo of a document never has to be uploaded anywhere to get the text out of it.
